 demy of Sciences, the Lithuanian Academy of Sciences and the Representation
  of the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg in Berlin  in cooperation with t
 he Institute for Peace Research and Security Policy at the University of Ha
 mburg (IFSH)\n\nThe Academy of Sciences and Humanities in Hamburg is organi
 sing together with the national academies of sciences of Estonia, Latvia an
 d Lithuania, and the Representation of the Free and Hanseatic City of Hambu
 rg an international conference on the topic of ‘Current and Future Security
  Architecture for the Baltic States and Europe’.\n\nAgainst the backdrop of
  historical and current developments, we look forward to bringing together 
 among others people from federal ministries, state representations, academi
 a and public institutions to discuss possible future scenarios and recommen
 dations for action for securing peace in Europe. Different national and int
 ernational perspectives will be incorporated – in particular the Baltic vie
 ws on the European security architecture.\n\nThe conference is held under C
