The members of the Academy of Sciences and Humanties in Hamburg are scientists and academics from Northern Germany who are characterised by academic excellence, interdisciplinarity and internationality.
Full members are in charge of the academy’s scientific work. The assembly of full members appoints them for a term not exceeding ten years. Appointments are subject to specialisation in scientific work, especially research relating to the academy’s projects. The number of full members is limited to 80
