Prof. Dr. Valery Rubakov
Valery Rubakov, born 1955 in Moscow, received his Ph.D. in Physics from the Lomonosov Moscow State University in 1981. He is now chief-theorist at the Institute for Nuclear Research (INR) in Moscow and teaches at the Lomonosov Moscow State University. He is a theoretical physicist and cosmologist, and he is best known for his work on protondecay, the matter-antimatter asymmetry of the universe, and extra spacial dimensions. His current research interests include gravitational waves, cosmological density perturbations and dark matter. Together with Dimitry Gorbunov, he wrote a classic textbook on the "Theory of the Early Universe".
