I graduated from Hiroshima University in Japan and am now a Professor at Kavli IPMU in the University of Tokyo. I am working on theoretical physics and cosmology. I am now very interested in the recently discovered Higgs boson at the LHC experiments, since its mass suggests the presence of new particles predicted in a supersymmetric standard model at a little higher energy scale than we expected. It would be very important if the supersymmetry exists in nature, since it arises from a deep structure of space time. I am also working on inflation model building in super gravity framework and on a mechanism for creating the baryon asymmetry in the Universe.
