Current and Future Security Architecture for the Baltic States and Europe

Joint International Conference

Joint international conference of the Academy of Sciences and Humanities in Hamburg with the Estonian Academy of Sciences, the Latvian Academy of Sciences, the Lithuanian Academy of Sciences and the Representation of the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg in Berlin
in cooperation with the Institute for Peace Research and Security Policy at the University of Hamburg (IFSH)

The Academy of Sciences and Humanities in Hamburg is organising together with the national academies of sciences of Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania, and the Representation of the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg an international conference on the topic of ‘Current and Future Security Architecture for the Baltic States and Europe’.

Against the backdrop of historical and current developments, we look forward to bringing together among others people from federal ministries, state representations, academia and public institutions to discuss possible future scenarios and recommendations for action for securing peace in Europe. Different national and international perspectives will be incorporated – in particular the Baltic views on the European security architecture.

The conference is held under Chatham House Rule.
